The Basics

Mystery shopping is a research method where trained evaluators pose as regular customers to assess the quality of service, facilities, and overall experience at a business. The goal is to give ownership and management an honest, unbiased view of what their customers actually experience.

Our shoppers are trained to blend in as genuine customers. Your staff will not know they are being evaluated, which ensures the results reflect a true, everyday experience rather than a coached performance.

Absolutely. Every evaluation program we build is customized to your business. We work with you during the consultation phase to define the criteria, shop types, and frequency that best match your goals and brand standards.

Timelines & Process

Timelines vary by shop type, from the time the shop is ordered to when the report is sent to you. Standard apartment shops typically take 4–6 weeks. Video shops take 6–8 weeks. Restaurant shops are completed in approximately 2 weeks. All reports are delivered directly to your Prism client dashboard, where you can view scores, written narratives, and historical results. If a rush shop is needed, expedited scheduling may be available — please note that additional fees may apply.

Reports are delivered through your Prism Dashboard client portal. Once a report is ready, you can log in to view scores, read the full written narrative, and access your historical evaluation results.

Pricing & Contracts

No contract required. Clients can order shops on a quarterly, monthly, or as-needed basis — whatever works best for your business. Invoices are billed on net 30 terms.

Yes — we offer bulk discounts for multi-property and multi-location programs. Contact us to discuss volume pricing tailored to your portfolio size.

Becoming a Shopper

Shoppers are paid per completed shop. Payment is issued on the 15th of each month following the month in which your shop was completed — for example, a shop completed in January would be paid on February 15th. We pay via Checkbook.io, a digital payment platform that sends a digital check to the email address on file with iSecretShop. You can either print the check and deposit it as you normally would, or use your bank's mobile deposit feature to deposit it directly from your phone.

We use the iSecretShop platform to manage our shopper network. You can sign up and browse available assignments in your area by visiting the Shopper Login portal.
